Welcome

Why Do I Feel the Way I Feel (Why the Feels) is a community-based program supporting youth and young adults as they navigate identity, emotions, relationships, and life’s challenges.

We offer a safe, inclusive space where you can show up exactly as you are—no pressure, no judgment.

What We Do

  • Open, honest conversations about real-life experiences
  • A space to feel seen, heard, and understood
  • Connection with others going through similar things
  • Support for emotional wellness and self-understanding

You’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure everything out by yourself.

What to Expect

Starting something new can feel uncomfortable—we understand that.

What It’s Like

  • Psychoeducational group discussion
  • No pressure to talk
  • Small group setting
  • Safe, inclusive environment
  • Led by trained facilitators
  • Respect for all identities and experiences

This is not therapy. It is a supportive, peer-based space focused on connection and conversation.

Participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable.

About Us

Why the feels is a community program hosted at the United Church of Broomfield (this is not a church-run program) targeted at youth and young adults, individuals exploring identity, belonging, or mental health, and people navigating life transitions or challenges.

Mission

To create a safe, inclusive space where youth and young adults can explore identity, build connection, and experience a true sense of belonging.

Our Story

Why Do I Feel the Way I Feel was founded by Molly MacGregor, inspired by years of working with individuals and families navigating mental health, addiction, and life transitions.

Through both professional and personal experience, she recognized the need for a space where people can talk openly about what they’re feeling—without stigma, pressure, or labels.

This program is built on the belief that being heard, understood, and accepted can change lives.
